Health Reform?
Ok so i’d like to start by saying that I agree that our heathcare system needs serious reform. But I am curious, and I’d like to post an open question:
To those of you who support the House’s healtcare bill, Why?
What about this bill is appealing to you?
is it the increase in taxes?
or the limiting of healthcare plans available to you?
How about being forced into a “public option”
or not having a say in the direction of your treatment?
or maybe it is getting denied treatment because a pannel decides it is “unnecessary”?
But maybe, just maybe it is that you simply want the federal government to have even more controll over your life?
Some questions to ask yourself:
Who is going to pay for this?
How is the private sector supposed to compete with the National Government? (China is more than willing to keep lending us money!)
Do you want the government making decisions about YOUR healthcare for YOU?
There are other options out there. Now I admit, that I haven’t seen a bill in crongress that I REALLY like, but there are some better options.
I think that the first thing that needs to be done is some sort of tort reform. Untill doctors can do their jobs productively and efficiently without having to worry about losing their home to a malpractice suit, The government has no buisiness stepping into the mix.
Tort Reform first, then re-evaluate the situation! Thats my stance.
