I think it is pretty crappy of the President not to meet with the Dalai Lama durring his annual visit to the U.S. (Is the Dalai Lama adressed as His Holiness?) anyway he was here to recieve an award, and aparently had a meeting with the President scheduled. The President put the meeting off untill after he visits China in November. Maybe there is a signifiant reason why he did this? The Dalai Lama’s envoy said that he had not taken offence to the decision. Maybe the President has some sort of diplomacy in mind. Either way I feel like the President could have taken the time to meet with the Dalai Lama while he was here.
